It's a good day.

Happy Thanksgiving, blog readers and supporters of Mary Lashbrook Photography! Enjoy your day. I am passed out on the couch from all the food I've eaten today.

Elizabeth + Roger. Engagements.

It was so cold when I shot these. And it starting snowing right after we left! Elizabeth and Roger were troopers, that's for sure. It'll be blazin' hot for their wedding in July though. And check out Elizabeth's shoes. I love them. You may not know this about me: I am a shoe fanatic.

Me at Street Scene.

Good day, everyone. I was watching Pushing Daisies last night and after it was over, I walked downstairs, looked out the window and the ground was white. Yay! The first snow of the season in November. I'm not too weather-conscious, but I don't think that usually happens. Perhaps our dreams of a white Christmas will become a reality this year. We still had school today, though. Alas. Commence snow day wishes.

This blog entry is an invite. I sell fine art prints at Street Scene (next to Coffee Times on Regency Road). Tomorrow (Saturday the 22nd) the store is having an Open House. They are extending their hours and inviting all friends and vendors to come and enjoy each others' art and company. I will be there from 6-8pm with a few new prints. So stop by if you can! I'd love to see you! I will have just finished by 24th and last wedding of the season.

Summertime at the Orchard.

A month ago (I tend to post my fun, social life pictures a month late), my roommate and I (spotlighted above) hosted an orchard party. Despite the October heat, we had such a great time! And I had no idea so many apple species existed and could be grown in one place. We picked a ton of apples and then went back to our place and feasted on apple pie, crisp, and fritters. Yum! My friend Dave, took all the pictures below. Good job Dave!

I had to try a jumping picture! Where are all the groomsmen?

My cute, pregnant friend, Lizbeth. (a.k.a. Dave's wife.)

Shelby + Jeremy. Engagement Session.

These two are so cute and awesome! We had a great time, falling out of trees, climbing stairs, and jumping over fences. Jeremy and Shelby are baseball fans (White Sox and Reds) so they had the great idea of shooting on a baseball field. It was so great!

I'm still sick but in for the entire weekend. Picture production has slowed but will not some to a complete stop! I am going to take a break in a few hours and watch either Atonement or No Reservations with some friends. If you can give us recommendation as to which to watch by 7pm, it would be much appreciated!

PS - Today I bought an awesome hat at Fossil, my favorite store, and can't wait to wear it all winter. And I bought some arm-warmers to wear during shoots. I'm psyched but my mom keeps laughing at me when I put the hat on.
